Gabriel Rafael (b. 1991) is a visual artist based in Manila, Philippines, and a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University. His work shifts instinctively across mediums-- moving from large-scale oil and acrylic paintings, to highly detailed, manuscript-style illustrations packed with cultural nuances and symbolisms. 

Outside the studio, his practice is backed by the physical discipline of weightlifting and his background as a theatrically-trained tenor. Whether commanding a stage, a bench press, or a canvas, his focus is entirely on precision, presence, and atmosphere.

He lives and works in Metro Manila, where he splits his time between late-night studio hours, the gym, and being the favorite uncle to his six nieces and nephews.
